About the Fire Department
The Town of Duncan is quite proud that Chief Barry Frost has consistently managed to keep our fire department certified at the highest possible certification that our municipality can obtain. This means fires like the school bus that caught on fire in 2017 was Duncan, SC bus firequickly put out (no one was hurt in that fire thanks to quick thinking by the driver of the bus).
To keep our high certification our fire fighters participate in all the required training as well as additional training.
Community Involvement
We are involved with all local schools, churches and nursing homes doing fire prevention programs and training. Our personnel provide fire protection, first aid response, auto extrication, wildland fire protection, rescue as well as building inspections for businesses. Our firefighters take pride in the Department and strive to provide the very best service we can for our citizens and the Town of Duncan.
